With 30 years of experience in the Architecture and Design industry, Tomas Pedrasa has been involved in designing hotels, restaurants, retail entertainment destinations, and urban design projects. His holistic approach to design has yielded iconic solutions that make each project memorable. He is passionate in seeking innovative design solutions that help clients create unique value propositions.
Mr. Pedrasa runs an independent design studio working on hospitality projects in China and the U.S. He also currently serves as a Creative Director with BG Studio International where he leads a team of designers in pushing the envelope for cruise ship and multi-family residential projects. He has provided design consultancy services to established firms such as Bilkey Llinas Design, Jeffrey Beers International and Rockwellgroup where he offered design and team leadership on a variety of commercial projects.
Before going on his own, he spent 15 years as a Lead Senior Designer at the Rockwell Group. He aided them in the concept, ideation, planning, and design strategy on a variety of award winning projects. His tenure was influential in crafting the Aloft Hotel brand for Starwood Hotels, winning the competition for Crystals at City Center in Las Vegas and design for
W hotel Singapore among others. Prior to Rockwell Group, he served as a Senior Designer/Project Manager for Birch Coffey Design Associates in NYC, where he worked on high-end residences and reimagined the new generation of cruise ships for Celebrity and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
Mr. Pedrasa spent the early years of his career based in Singapore and Manila where he worked on high-end residences and hospitality projects around the Southeast Asian region. He completed his Architecture degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. He also pursued executive education in Harvard Graduate School of Design, taking up Hotel Design and Development and Design Thinking.
